A Legacy of Service and Leadership

In 1979, Andres Rodriguez Sr. migrated from Mexico City to the United States in search of a better future. Settling in East Los Angeles, he began working at a boutique tax firm, dedicating long hours to learning IRS regulations and helping clients navigate complex financial matters. His mission was clear: to help families manage their finances while building generational wealth for his own.

By 1985, his dedication paid off. Andres Sr. purchased the tax firm where he had once been an employee and established Rodriguez Tax Services. The business quickly became a family endeavor, with each member contributing to its growth:

• Alexandra handled mailings for clients.
• Andrea ensured client communications were prepared and sent.
• Andres Jr. (“Andy”) managed administrative tasks.
• Gema sorted customer records and addresses.
• Imelda, Andres Sr.’s wife, took the lead in client outreach and correspondence.

Over time, each family member developed their own path in the world of finance and accounting. Today, Alexandra owns her own accounting firm in Boyle Heights, Andrea leads Maurice Joffe Tax Services in Santa Monica, and Gema works as an independent accountant.

The family’s success is rooted in hard work, integrity, and leadership — values that continue to drive our business today.
